“I want to clarify some things” -Pastor Joel Osteen addresses the Hurricane Harvey backlash

Joel Osteen

ontroversial American Pastor, Joel Osteen who came under attack for reportedly refusing to open doors of his mega church to victims of Hurricane Harvey that affected Texas residents, addressed the backlash on Sunday during the church’s first service.
The Pastor who claimed his church is always open to the public, despite videos and eyewitnesses saying otherwise,  blamed the door opening delay on the security company guarding his church, as he claimed they are responsible for turning people away.
He further claimed that Hurrucane Harvey was part of a divine plan;
“God knew that Houston could handle the hurricane,” and “Quit being upset by something you can handle.” He added, “God is in control of the universe and what he has spoken over your life will come to pass.”
