Cry of the Forest

An Insightful Review by Dr. Rajdeep Chowdhury

Some narratives dawdle with its readers for perpetuities and reminiscence of the equivalent engenders sobbing eyes.

Cry of the Forest reverberates vociferously and moistens civilization. Ingenuity has no frontier and no preconception.

I am exceedingly conceited to be a creative personage and appreciate apiece ingenious flair.

I am delighted to pen my feelings for Mr. Godwin Cornelius Udagbor, a nascent author from Abuja, Nigeria.

‘Cry of the Forest’ is a crisply knitted tale, encompassing rollercoaster ride of human sentiments and Godwin appears to have already mastered the competence of creativity.

He has crafted diverse emotions with meticulousness and has emblazoned his mark in shaping apiece character in the narrative, bearing shades from life. The focal point of the anecdote is abolishment of polygamy, thereby ensuring eradication of human collusion and treachery.

Set at a milieu of evolution for the populaces of Ochagbe, there are an assortment of characters with substantial impression.

Right from the famed farmer Achun and his three wives and multiple children and the allied plot pertaining to them leading to the focal point of concern, precisely raised by Ibenere, an adolescent turned to acclaimed and coveted lawyer, the first in the community comprising ten villages.

The expedition of Ibenere is neatly crafted and the evolution of his characteristics to exhume a significant issue in front of the populaces of Ochagbe is a trait of a fine narrator. The grippingly shaped contrary characters of father figure Chief Adogo and malevolent Abokpe are noteworthy in the flow of the narrative.

The altruistic Baba, overwhelming individual loss to usher forte to the inhabitants of Ochagbe is not only commendable but exemplary. The comic filler of Ojata is not only hilarious but refreshing to the tee. Assortment of other characters form the crux of the narrative, which is brief but influential. The underlying message is highly impressive and undeniably pertinent.

I express my admiration to Mr. Godwin Cornelius Udagbor for his book titled ‘Cry of the Forest’ and wish him unsur passed providence for numerous probable happenings. I penned these lines from my core:

Cry of the forest is resonating intensely Sustainability of mankind is in peril Compassion is the need of the hour Amity amid all is the value for instill
